Goal: create an e-book with art in 2020
I have 8 stories in first draft during NaNoWriMo (NaNoWriMo stands for National Writing Month, a writer's challenge to write a first draft of 50,000 words in 30 days) A first draft is a first version of your story without a red pen for it the errors and a critical reader she has looked at, so they are more or less finished but not nearly finished. They are documents, some even printed, that are a thought-out story of mine in words that may not even seem coherent. But I haven't done anything else with it. November 30 I wrote the last word, saved it in a file or digital folder and continued my life.
Isn't it time to do something with it?
I have now come up with a goal. Because I notice that I want something that friends and family around me have already done: publish my own story.
Having my own story read to someone else is already super scary, let alone publishing. But on the other hand, I also like a challenge. And so I'm going to work out a story. I'm going to make an e-book out of it and I can also add pictures, a nice cover, a synopses etc.
But I have already participated in NaNoWriMo 8 times. Which one of the 8 stories will I do?
My last NaNoWriMo was even unsubscribed so I should first digitize it. And finish the story first, I realize when writing this blog. Not so suitable for this year to immediately turn into an e-book. So that is falling off, for now. Because the story about my two favorite couch hangers that end up in a fanatic world is really fun. So I definitely want to write the whole story.
I also wrote a children's story about a girl who goes on a 'world tour' by bike and learns new things from her neighbors so that she comes home a little older and a bit older. Would that be something?
Or the scary mystery in which the main character wakes up with a hangover and a pencil in her mild. Who did it, what happened and how on earth did she get out of the hotel!
No…
From vlogger and writer Kate Cavanaugh I heard the tip that such a first draft needs time to get out of your system, so that you can then write a good second variant. So why not start with my very first NaNoWriMo story that received the title "Tea with a Little House"? No idea exactly what it was about, but I'll find out. A better story to rewrite, I don thing I have.

And very coincidentally, I also received an email from NaNoWriMo this week about rewriting my first draft. They call January and February "the now what" months. I'm even going to get help from them rewriting.
Off to the rediscovery of an adventure!
